Festival de Junio

 

Del 12 al 28 de junio del 2009 se llevará a cabo el V Festival de Junio en el Centro Cultural Miguel Ángel Asturias. Este festival se lleva a cabo desde el 2005 en honor al aniversario de fundación del Teatro Nacional, que es el 16 de junio de cada año. 

 

Este año, habrá una presentación el día 10, un evento “Pre-festival”, del guitarrista francés Louis Bertignac y luego, a partir del 12 empiezan las presentaciones de ballet clásico, danza moderna, conferencias y conversatorios de arte, exposiciones fotográficas, cine nacional e internacional, talleres, presentación de libros, conciertos de bandas nacionales y la Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional. 

 

El programa se puede visualizar acá. Todas las actividades parecen ser bastante interesantes y es una oportunidad de apreciar el arte que se produce en Guatemala y saber que realmente no hay razón por la cual envidiar los programas culturales de otras ciudades o países.

House of Cards, Radiohead

Radiohead… what can I say about this band? About these geniuses? I swear, every time I listen to a song by these guys my mind just wanders to another universe. It’s just another level of musical and sensory experience. I really started listening to them because of Optimistic (Kid A) and when I bought the CD I discovered a whole new world. To me, the music soothes your senses. It makes me want to curl up, close my eyes and let my soul travel to wherever the voice, guitar, drums…. take me.
